October 1, 2006

Mihalovich Partners is pleased to announce that we have negotiated and completed the following San Francisco office lease transaction, representing The Bar Association of San Francisco

The Bar Association of San Francisco

The Old Federal Reserve Building, 301 Battery Street
Entire 3rd Floor—23,602 square feet

BASF, currently located at 465 California Street, has signed a new long-term lease for the entire 3rd floor of The Old Federal Reserve Building, 301 Battery Street, with Bently Reserve LP. The new space, formerly occupied by Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, will be renovated to accommodate BASF’s employees as well as an expanded CLE Auditorium, where BASF plans to host many of its educational conferences and events. BASF retained Dan Mihalovich, Principal of Mihalovich Partners, to conduct its office space search and negotiations for its lease. Fennie + Mehl Architects represent BASF in space planning and design; Principal Builders for construction of its new premises; and Young Office for its furniture needs. According to Mihalovich, “BASF and its Staff are thrilled with the opportunity at The Old Fed. There are great economies in the space—allowing BASF to reuse improvements originally created for Orrick—and a motivated landlord who recognized and embraced the mission of BASF and the value of their tenancy. We are extremely proud to have represented The Bar and know that they will be well served in their new location. Our Team worked tirelessly and effectively with BASF and their 28-member Board to carefully evaluate every viable alternative in San Francisco. The Old Fed is a great fit all around. We appreciate the trust of The Bar Association of San Francisco and wish them continued success!”
